Ten questions to find the perfect roommate in Uptown Chicago

When searching for a roommate, some folks simply want someone whose rent check will clear every month. Others are looking for someone a little more specific, a person with strong opinions on ninjas and processed cheese, for instance, or perhaps someone who plays the French horn. Uptown expert Nathaniel recently came across an advertisement on Craigslist in which two twenty-something girls are using a creative questionnaire to find a third person to share their Uptown apartment. Questions include:

(1) How do you feel about David Bowie, the Pixies, the Smiths and the Grateful Dead?
(2) What was the last book you read …and when?
(3) Pirate or ninja..and why?
(4) Top three movies?
(5) Why are you looking for an apartment?
(6) How tall are you? (**note this question is asked solely bc we have really tall ceilings and can’t reach our lightbulbs)
(7) Any furniture you may be bringing? (we have more than enough room for anything but bookshelves will be the most valued)
(8) Do you like puppies? (we’re planning on getting a small-medium sized dog and naming it winston moonshine bloom in the very near future)
(9) Do you play any sort of musical instrument? (aka …guitar, acordian, triangle, french horn, one man band)
(10) What is your opinion on processed cheese?
