Palmolive dangling $50,000 bonus

If you happen to be browsing for a condo right now and wonder why your broker keeps steering you toward the $10.7 million penthouse in The Palmolive Building, it may be because the developer is offering any agent who sells the stately 7,880-square-foot duplex a $50,000 bonus on top of the already enticing 3 percent commission.

It seems to be the biggest incentive currently. No such bonuses are being offered for the sale of the Trump International Hotel and Tower penthouse, where the commission earned on the $28 million space is likely incentive enough ……

So is developer Draper and Kramer having problems shifting the famous space, which once served as the office of the chairman of the Palmolive company and is said to have been frequented by billionaire Hugh Hefner and Sammy Davis Jr. during its ribald past as headquarters of Playboy magazine?

Draper and Kramer says it isn’t worried about selling the space, which overlooks the Drake and has panoramic views of the lake, but admits the market is slow.
