The awesome view from Wolf Point West

McHugh Construction was pouring concrete on the 43rd floor at the time of my visit to Wolf Point West late yesterday morning. The building will top out next month at 48 stories and begin occupancy later this year.

I rode the construction elevator to the 36th floor and wandered around, enjoying the views. Chicago has many buildings with great views. Wolf Point West ranks among the very best.

When pre-leasing activity begins later this summer, it’s likely that the southeast corner two-bedroom apartments, which have views along the main and south branches of the Chicago River and to the northeast, will rent quickly.

It was a clear day yesterday, but the mid-day sun doesn’t showcase the views at their best. I’m looking forward to an early=evening visit when the building is topped out.
