Yo spent part of Friday exploring West Rogers Park, and chatting with the often hilarious Alderman Bernard Stone. The conversation turned to Thillens Baseball Stadium, at Devon and Kedzie avenues. When the stadium was threatened with closure last year, the very gracious Cubs and the city, of course, saved it.
Does Ald. Stone enjoy watching the Little League games at Thillens? Yes. “They’re better than the Cubs,” he says. “They win.” This particular Yo-er was chuckling all weekend. Love them Cubs, but I love these guys more.
