The longest time renting in the same apartment building?

Last week I chanced upon the Chicago Tribune obituary for Sam Herscovitz.

Mr Herscovitz rented an apartment at the Belden-Stratford with his sister Rose “sometime around 1931.” Rose died in 1995 after living in the building for about 64 years.

Mr Herscovitz died in his apartment in May of 2008 at the age of 103, making his tenure in the building about 77 years.

For the last 20 years of his life Mr Herscovitz ate dinner in the building six nights a week at Mon Ami Gabi. He sat at the same table in the southeast corner of the building, where his portrait now hangs, and was served by the same waiter.

One of the residents at 3130 N Lake Shore Dr has rented in the building since she and her husband moved in when the building opened in the early 1950s.

If you know of anyone who can better these records, chime in with a comment.
