A few years ago there was a lot of development here, conversions. Some buildings were fully gutted with new electrical and plumbing, others, with the wave of a hand, became condos and were sold as-is. Now, after the downturn, there are a lot of buildings where investors are leasing with rent-to-own options. So look around, do your homework, read YoChicago…there’s a lot to be had right now in Rogers Park.
