The panoramic views from the roof of Hubbard Place

Late Friday afternoon I rode the construction elevator to the roof of Hubbard Place with Tom Black, who “directs the planning, design and construction of new properties” for The Habitat Company.

The 43-story River North apartment tower at 360 W Hubbard is on schedule for early-October occupancy of half the building, according to Black, and the leasing office across the street at 351 W Hubbard has seen strong interest from prospective renters.

The building’s site across from the East Bank Club provides almost-unobstructed panoramic views in all directions.

Angled balconies and bays, together with the siting of the tower on a southeast / northwest axis, optimize the views of the river and Loop skyline from the west side of the building, and of the lakefront and Loop skyline from the east side.
