Today’s “new listings” include 2411 Thornwood Ave in Wilmette, a 5-bedroom, 5 ½ bath, 4,300 square foot home. It’s around the corner from the sought-after Harper School, and across the street from Thornwood Park (video), where I shot this video on Wilmette’s social divide.
It’s listed for sale for $1,649,000.
I first visited this home, and shot the above photo from the same vantage as one of the current listing photos, in May of 2006 when the home was nearing completion and listed at $1,795,000. The developer was hosting an open house and, if memory serves, anticipating a quick sale.
Is this the slowest selling new construction home in Wilmette? If not, what is?
