The Villa – a questionable landmark

My take: The Villa’s landmark status reflects the talent of whoever wrote the nomination form rather than the character of the area.

It has some decent bungalows, and green parkways – but so what?

Join us for a walk through this Irving Park landmark district and then enlighten us as to why this area merits its landmark designation. If you’re going to argue “architectural coherence,” explain why every bleeding subdivision doesn’t meet that standard.
