Comment of the day: Solid praise for Uptown high-rise developer
Posted 1/31/2008 by Patrick Rollens"The community owes a lot to Mr. Gouskos. His commitment to that area really helped turn it around. He was here long before it was popular to do such an exciting venture as this, so I wish nothing but the best for him and this project."
-James Cappleman, commenting on yesterday's post about the Theater District Lofts' second phase in Uptown. It's still in planning at 4750 N Winthrop Ave, but developer Jim Gouskos is moving forward a mixed-use cinema development nearby.
Could this be the same James Cappleman who ran against 46th Ward Ald. Helen Shiller in 2007?

No,
it's his identical twin cousin Jimmy Cappleman who is visiting from Britain…….if I remember my bad 60's TV shows correctly.
The Capplemaniac will likely be running for office again. Alderbeast Shiller is still in monetary debt from the last campaign.
Brings joy to my dark soul to think about that.

James C. is a regular on many websites related to Uptown, so it's probably him. It sounds like something he would say–or has said–about Gouskos in the past.
I'm peronally quite excited about this plan, and hope the current market conditions don't kill the project.

Th building is not going to be built. Jim Gouskos has not refunded money to the investors buyers of this project. This is a terrible situation for many investors who believed in this project.

Does anyone know how we can help these investors get their money back from jim Gouskos. He has failed to return earnest money to many investors who believed in his project. Does not return calls or answer emails.
