Deal of the day: $15,000 for furniture at The Rotunda in Lincoln Park
Posted 3/15/2008 by Joseph Askins![]()
A house just isn’t a home without a place to sit or sleep. That’s why the developers of The Rotunda are offering a $15,000 furniture allowance to buyers who sign contracts by March 31.
The Rotunda, under construction at 2741 N Sheffield Ave, has six two-bedroom condos with 1,570 square feet, a three-bedroom townhome with 2,230 square feet and a four-bedroom townhome with almost 2,900 square feet.
Price points range from the $490s to the $750s. Deliveries will begin this fall.
Thomas Hall of Rubloff Residential Properties has the listing.

There has been nothing but a foundation there fore maybe 6 months. I see they have changed the unit mix to that of one with lower prices:
"start at $499,000 with parking for 2 bedroom, 2 bath simplex up to $750,000 with parking for 4 bedroom, 3.5 bath townhome."
I don't see any "townhomes" though.

I work out at the Lincoln Park Athletic Club which has many windows that overlook this site and Alan is right in that there has not been any progress for quite a while.

Thomas Hall called on Friday afternoon after this post was already in the can, and he touched on a couple of things that Alan and Jeff have brought up.
There still hasn't been a sale at The Rotunda, and prices on all eight homes recently dropped by $25,000. Hall admitted that work stalled at the site over the past few months but said he expects construction to pick back up in the near future.
It'll be interesting to check in at the end of the month to see if anyone took advantage of the current deal.
