Name the nabe where the Dark Knight dwells
Posted 8/5/2008 by Joseph AskinsUnless you've been living in a Batcave, you've probably heard about a certain high-flying flick making the rounds in theaters this summer.
Anyone who has seen The Dark Knight knows how prominently LaSalle Street, Lower Wacker Drive, the old Chicago Post Office and even a stumpy Trump Tower are featured throughout the film. But do you know where the Caped Crusader chills out between crises? Name the nabe and win your own superhero costume: a YoChicago ladies' t-shirt.

West Loop. Randolph & Aberdeen.

The IBM Building was the site of the Wayne Enterprises Boardroom, Harvey Dent’s office, the Mayor’s office and the Police Commissioner’s office.
While the lobby of One Illinois Plaza (IBM) doubles as Bruce Wayne's penthouse. The special effects crew created sweeping "penthouse" views for the ground-level windows.
Bruce’s bedroom was built separately on the 39th floor of Hotel 71 on East Wacker Drive. The penthouse would be located in the LOOP.
Actually exact location is 71 Wacker or Hotel 71…

Yowza! James gets brownie points for outlining the filming locations and the nabe of Bruce Wayne's penthouse in the movie, but we're just looking for the neighborhood in the picture above.
Erik is right: The Batman balloon is in the West Loop, across Aberdeen from the Harpo studios and across Randolph from 155 North Aberdeen.
