Introducing Roscoe Flats… and West Roscoe Village?
Posted 12/29/2006 by Joel
Jameson Realty Group is marketing a new development from JAB Real Estate in the "I can't believe it's not Avondale!" neighborhood of, ahem, West Roscoe Village. Roscoe Flats, located at 3028 W Roscoe St, is a four-story brick-and-limestone elevator building with 18 two-bedroom condos and ground-floor commercial space. It seems like all buildings built on triangular sites handle the space differently, and, rather than bring the building to a point, JAB created an interesting four-story rotunda. Units have granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, balconies and access to a rooftop garden and deck. Prices range from the $270s to the $380s, and an on-site model unit was designed by Oprah's buddy Nate Berkus.

If that's West Roscoe Village, then we're all living in West New York City.

According to a Jameson news release, the area was formerly known as "Northwest Nowhere."

Let's just re-name the "Abbey Pub" to "The Village Tap #2", since they are right next to each other in Roscoe Village.

No, Eric, The Abbey is now in West Dublin. You didn't get that memo?

except, of course, for the thousands of people who live there who don't seem to have a problem getting home every night!
