Will someone tell Joe Aldeguer to shut up?

Posted 11/14/2006 by Joe Zekas

If you listen to WBBM-AM you've heard his hyper-annoying commercials for The Mortgage Exchange. (No link - you ought not go there.)

He's the guy — the one who sounds like he's 14 years old — touting a money-making scheme involving Orlando hotels.

Joe used to be a commodities salesman, according to the New York Times. Perhaps the Saskatchewan Securities Commission prompted his career change.

he's got his own show on saturdays. i'd rip him but he doesn't say anything you can't hear from any other lender right now.

Joe Zekas said:

If you can believe the New York Times, he pays for the radio time - it's an infomercial, not a show. The fact that WLS doesn't disclose this adequately is a sign of how low our radio stations have sunk in Chicago.

I yearn for the good old days when WBBM was free of the sleazy commercials that it's now riddled with.

i wasn't aware of that. that is sad.

Is he the same guy as, or a relative of, the annoying pitchman for "FREE GOVERNMENT MONEY" for tuition, home renovation, etc.?

anon, that guy was "Ask Lesko!"

A former friend went to work for the Mortgage Exchange as a broker… I would never send clients their way personally. Sounded like some really pitiful boiler room situation. Not a fan of the people I met from there too. My opinion of course.

Condos in Florida? Who would have thought?

what's ironic about this is, joe doesn't even have a real estate license, at least he didn't when i worked there. how does he qualify as an expert? the only thing he's an expert at is getting divorced (because he cheated) and remarried. this is his 3rd or 4th time i think.

Joe Zekas said:

According to state records, Aldeguer currentlly holds licenses as a loan originator and real estate broker (since June 2006).

A little bird told me that Aldeguer is selling his "condo hotels" as 2nd home condos to all of his top lenders- is that legal??? I don't think so- but who would be able to find out? or I guess in Aldeguers mind, who cares?

Is he giving them up in lieu of foreclosure?

Not quite sure what you're saying.

I don't think he owns the projects himself, therefore eliminating the idea of selling them in lieu of foreclosure…rumor was that he presented them as something other than what they truly were to the banks he used for financing. Just seems to be heading down the same path as with the commodities…the truth always prevails

The funny thing is, his birth name is Jose Aldeguer, He went to Bolingbrook High School from about 1981 to 1985, he's about 40 now, He actually dated my baby sister in the 80's, seen him in my house many times. Amazing what that little punk has accomplished. He claims to own many of the properties he hawks, and he just moved his office from downers grove to the Hancock building.

I can't stand this guy because he is just a slickster. He is not an investor, he is a salesman misleading alot of people. He peddles annuities with high costs and I would not trust him at all. WLS needs to get this guy off the air. As someone that knows about investing, Equity Index annuites are a horrific investment but they generate lots of commissions for the fraud. When I saw him with Robert Kiyosaki I immediately said to myself this guy is a fraud. Like the saying goes, birds of a feather flock together…

It appears the next life has begun. Hundreds left in his wake, now he is President of a new firm, bankrupt the last one, foreclosed on his homes, but he was Making Money in Real Estate…now he has gone from selling phones to never have a mortgage. What ever a con man must sell, he will sell. Don't drink the kool aid.

Joe still owes me tens of thousands, been two years of bull, on a home he sold and moved around the lein. He is going to cause two families to go broke while he enjoys his mansion. All of this is documented and maybe Mike Ditka got paid but not the little guy. Too bad the news publishers making the cash on the commercial don't show the damages he leaves in his wake.

he scammed all including the employees to peddle his garbage, owes me money and owes many clients their life savings. a terrible terrible person

I made it clear in the post that I'm no fan of Joe Aldeguer.

I'm on the record, however, and I'd caution everyone not to place much credence in anonymous commenters.

TO: STLL AMAZED

Do you know the name of Joe "the Crook" Aldeguer's new business venture?

I also got hooked into this con-artist's TV/
WLS radio show when I refinanced my home for what I thought was a lower interest rate. Only to find out within the first year that my mortgage interest rate had skyrocketed to 8-1/2%!

I can't believe this slick-tongued crook has already begun another business venture out to get more suckers to pay him for what?

Much appreciated!

This guy is in more trouble than he is aware at the moment. Be looking for a new fashion statement from him soon. (I hope he looks hot in an orange jumpsuit and some ankle bracelets, for his new male roommates behind bars and his ex-wife should be right next door in her own cell!)

This guy crushed my future and stole my security. I only sleep at night knowing his days are now numbered before he is held accountable for all his greed and deceit.

Will he look good in an orange jumpsuit and will WLS be able to do a remote from the Joliet penitentiary? He is lower than whale shit.

Seemed he took a break from mortgages for a while to peddle VOIP as in investment. He's back on property, though.
