Bluestone Development is offering a number of “environmentally friendly” upgrades to the townhomes at Fletcher Row, located at 2424 W Fletcher St in Hamlin Park. Perhaps most interesting is the optional solar heating system. Bluestone estimates “the sun can provide 70 percent or more of our hot water,” and developer Robert Frankel says homeowners break even on the system, which can cost about $1,000 a year to run, after state energy rebates. There are 20 three- and four-bedroom townhomes at Fletcher Row, and prices range from the $600s to the $800s.
