Remember those new Bridgeport townhouses that Lexington Homes‘ Jeff Benach was telling us about this time last year? They’re finally up and on the market, according to his company’s Web site.
Lexington Square, the 39-home development at 3704 S Sangamon St, has a mix of three floor plans with 2,219 to 2,559 square feet, priced from the $430s to the $490s. Every three-story unit has three bedrooms, 2.5 baths, rooftop decks, and attached two-car garages.
Lexington has opened two models for viewing: a 2,507 square-foot “Buckingham,” seen above, and a 2,216 square-foot “Grant.” Descriptions of the homes include mentions of wall fireplaces with marble surrounds; built-in shelving in the living rooms; island kitchens with granite countertops, custom cabinets, and stainless-steel appliances; master baths with soaking tubs, walk-in showers, and Travertine tile; and overhang balconies accessible from the main-level dining area.
Judging from Google Maps, the townhouses ring Bridgeport’s Donovan Playground Park, located around the midway point between 35th Street and Pershing Road and about 10 blocks west of U.S. Cellular Field.
