“Unmatched living” in Lincoln Park

by Joseph Askins on 12/18/09

Take a gander at the most expensive home for sale in Lincoln Park, an 8,000 square-foot, full-floor residence at 2450 N Lakeview Ave. For almost two years now, Gail Missner of Baird & Warner has kept the unit listed at $7.6 million.

Located on the fourth floor of a 12-unit co-op designed by Howard Van Doren Shaw, the home features views in all directions, parquet floors, limestone countertops, a restored butler’s pantry, four wood-burning fireplaces, and “perfectly proportioned rooms.” The building has a private yard with a basketball court, three storage rooms, an exercise room, and private parking.

Only one listing in Lincoln Park bests this one in price, but it’s a special case. For $10 million, BGD&C will build a 17,000 square foot custom home on a 60-foot lot at 1919 N Howe St.
