As a rough guesstimate, the rental services we call bedbugs are adding more than 10,000 apartment ads a day – many of them bait-and-switch come-ons – to Craigslist. The rental services have accomplished their goal of completely destroying Craigslist as a viable way for Chicago renters to search for apartments.
The rental services have also engaged in an extensive campaign of planting phony positive reviews of their own services and bashing their competitors on Yelp.
