Valentine Dinner Countdown Five

This is the fifth of a week’s worth of suggestions on where to take your honey on Valentine’s Day. We’re talking dinner here. (And yes, I realize that countdowns usually count down.)

Suggestion: Tsuki, 1441-1445 W. Fullerton, 773-883-8722

On Valentine’s Day, Tsuki’s is offering a fish feast (raw and cooked) for a scant $98 per couple. The menu highlights include a champagne toast, along with a delicate rose of bluefin akami tuna and hirame flounder, served with freshly ground wasabi; grilled Alaskan King crab leg with lemon zest and wasabi ponzu; tender New York Strip steak with original yukke sauce, and five color somen noodle, on a bed of steamed broccoli, shiitake, asparagus, and yellow peppers; marbled bluefin tuna maki rolled with the chef’s special rice and cucumber, topped with creamy avocado, and finished with spicy togarashi mayonnaise. There are several more offerings, including dessert, which means that for less than a hubdred bucks, this is a stone cold deal.

And no one will care in a sushi restaurant if you pick up food with your fingers and feed it to your honey.
