Video: How does your high-rise grow?

by Joseph Askins on 3/10/09

Construction crews have been able to pour a new floor at 235 Van Buren every four days with only one delay, says Jason Etheridge, a senior superintendent with Bovis Lend Lease. How can they accomplish such a feat, especially with such regularity? Joe Zekas posed that question to Etheridge at the start of last week’s hard-hat tour through CMK’s new tower at 235 W Van Buren St in the Loop. Jason did his best to explain today’s high-rise construction methods in layman’s terms.

We still have more footage to share, so check back tomorrow for another video from the top of 235 Van Buren.
