Is Woodlawn worth a shot?

Near the end of our tour through The Renaissance on Kimbark, @properties agent Hasani Steele talked a little bit about Woodlawn’s appeal for buyers in today’s market. Indeed, the 6600 block of South Kimbark Avenue looked a lot different than what I had expected, but it didn’t necessarily represent the entire neighborhood, either.

The three-bedrooms at Renaissance sold from the mid-$200s to the mid-$300s, Steele says. If you were looking for a home near the University of Chicago, would those prices lure you to a home south of the Midway Plaisance? What if you had been looking for a home on the North Side?
