Wells Street, Old Town
Wells Street, Old Town

Wells Street, just east of Xavier, is a quirky blend of the best of Old Town’s old and new. From Division Street north to the Zanies and Second City comedy venues, Wells Street is a feast of outdoor cafés, bars, restaurants and one-of-a-kind shops.

Division Street

Just beyond Wells Street along Division is a seasonal farmers market and the thriving bar and club scene anchored by the fabled Butch McGuire’s. At this point you’ve arrived in the Gold Coast neighborhood.

Head a bit south of Division from Butch’s and you reach the Mariano Park triangle, which is ringed by great restaurants and clubs and is one of the most delightful places in the city to while away an hour or three.

Head west from Xavier along Division Street bar and you reach the alfresco dining and bar cluster on either side of Damen Ave in Wicker Park, East Village and Ukrainian Village.

It’s one of the liveliest, most pedestrian-friendly strips in the entire city of Chicago.

A short jaunt north of Xavier takes residents to Lincoln Park and DePaul, and southward travel takes them into the hot River North scene.

In brief, Xavier’s keystone location affords residents quick access to a variety of great Chicago neighborhoods.

Target, Division Street

Before returning home, Xavier residents can grab essentials at Target, which is directly across the street.

Xavier is currently offering a month’s free rent on studio apartments starting at $1,975, 1-bedrooms renting from $2,200 and 2-bedroom, 2-baths priced from $3,150 a month. You can tour a 2-bedroom, 2-bath in the above video.
