Where you Goin?

And another thing about Suzanne Goin (which is pronounced like “goin’ to California”). If you ever go to California, you should eat at her restaurants, A.O.C. and Lucques, because she is a fantastic chef who makes food that you can recognize, such as the Portugese-style pork and clams with chorizo and fried potatoes she served up last night.

She also has a new cookbook, Sunday Suppers at Lucques, that you can actually cook from. It’s full of recipes for simple, solid food, such as the pork and clam dish. There’s also braised beef short ribs with potato puree, swiss chard, and horseradish cream. Hey, that’s good eatin.
