Where’s YoChicago been lately?

In the course of a typical month YoChicago stops at 100s of places in dozens of Chicago neighborhoods and suburbs. We don’t write about all of them, but we do snap photos and video clips for use in current and future videos and posts. Here’s a look at just a few of the places we’ve visited so far this month.

Yesterday afternoon we were at the 1225 Old Town apartments and stopped for a first look inside the new Intelligentsia and Plum Market in the building.

Video shoots took us to The Streeter apartments in Streeterville and The Renaissance, a landmark condo building at 5510 N Sheridan in Edgewater.

We checked up on the status of Arkadia in the West Loop and 2500 N Clybourn in Lincoln Park (still not open), and surveyed the scene at a vacant lot near University Village that Crain’s reported is for sale.

From University Village we took a small detour and passed a bit of time contemplating hipster-service establishments in Pilsen.

In the South Loop, the new Maxwell retail development is moving along rapidly and the Roosevelt Collection is at long last filling its retail space.

While taking some photos of 111 West Wacker, I couldn’t help noting how rapidly boat traffic on the Chicago River dwindled after Labor Day.

A video tour of West Loop restaurants near K2 apartments started in the 800 block of Randolph St, a goat-rich environment.
