Wrightwood Crossing is 40 percent pre-sold

Construction hasn’t even begun on Wrightwood Crossing, G.Corp Development‘s planned 19-unit condo development at 1307 W Wrightwood Ave in Lincoln Park, but G.Corp principal Giacomo Caliendo says the building is already 40 percent sold.

Before construction could begin, an existing property on the site had to be demolished, and Caliendo says the demolition was recently completed. Now workers are clearing the site and preparing for groundbreaking, but G.Corp is still waiting on city permits, which Caliendo says should come in two to three weeks.

If everything goes according to plan, Wrightwood Crossing should be ready for initial deliveries in early 2010.

As I’ve written previously, G.Corp is seeking LEED Platinum certification for Wrightwood Crossing, which would make it the greenest residential development in Chicago. According to the development Web site, condo prices at Wrightwood Crossing range from the $490s to $1.75 million.
