Tomorrow, it’s curtains for the old Stars Motel at 6100 N Lincoln Ave, and Yo will be there to cover the demolition. S & S Home Builders is replacing the motel — one of many that stand (or, in most cases, stood) at the gateway to Chicago’s northwest side — with Village Center Condominiums, a five-story building with 40 condos. S & S, who is also developing the similar-looking Lincoln Center at 2472 W Foster Ave, is even giving us a look inside the old motel before they break out the wrecking ball.
