YoChicago was airborne yesterday

Every so often we charter a helicopter and fly around the city taking shots of new construction, the skyline and whatever else grabs our attention.

We spent 90 minutes in the air yesterday, piloted by Ryan Gutz of Rotorzen out of Midway Airport.

Mike Scotty, CEO of our Data Based Ads affiliate, and my son Jordan joined me and we collectively took over 3,600 shots. We’ve put up a few of them in an album at Flickr, and we’ll add quite a few more in the coming days. You can see 100s of aerials from our previous tours in this Flickr album. You’ll also find aerial shots on our Review pages and in many of our YouTube videos.

As we left Midway Airport it occurred to us that some City departments should never use their initials.
