Your South Loop apartment search made easy

The South Loop’s recent surge in popularity has been fueled by rents that are affordable relative to other downtown neighborhoods, and by renters’ heightened awareness of the neighborhood’s burgeoning dining and nightlife scene, excellent public transportation and proximity to public parks, Loop offices and colleges and universities.

The South Loop spans an area that stretches more than two miles from north to south and encompasses sub-neighborhoods that are very different in character. Finding an apartment in such a large area might seem daunting, but we can suggest a starting point that makes your hunt for a South Loop home an easy task.

The trained leasing professionals at properties managed by major companies are typically a reliable source of information and helpful advice.

Crescent Heights is a national developer of condos, apartments, offices and hotels. The company’s Chicago offerings include four South Loop towers with a total of nearly 1,200 apartments.

Burnham Pointe, 730 S Clark St, has a full suite of amenities arrayed around a large landscaped terrace. The property has a mix of 1- and 2-bedroom, 2-bath and penthouse apartments.

The full suite of amenities at Astoria Tower, 8 E 9th St, includes an indoor pool and east- and west-facing terraces. Astoria Tower has studio, 1- and 2-bedroom, 2-bath apartments and penthouses.

The residents at Park Michigan, 1212 S Michigan, have free access to an on-site Snap Fitness center. Park Michigan is directly across from Grant Park and has studio, 1- and 2-bedroom, 2-bath apartments.

A rambling landscaped terrace with an outdoor pool separates the loft and high-rise portions of The LEX, 2138 S Indiana. The LEX offers 1- and 2-bedroom, 2-bath apartments.

All four properties are pet-friendly and have on-site leasing and management staff, 24/7 door staff, and garage parking. Floor plans and near real-time rent and availability info can be accessed at the building websites. Walk-ins are welcome, but it’s a good idea to check that your preferred apartment is available and make an appointment before visiting.

When you call, email or visit any of Crescent Heights’ South Loop communities you can expect a prompt response from friendly, knowledgeable leasing staff. The leasing staff at each of these properties has up-to-date familiarity with all of them and will offer suggestions about available alternatives if they don’t have an apartment that fits your needs, or if their location doesn’t match your requirements

I’ve visited all of these well-located properties and would confidently recommend renting “sight unseen” at any of them.

Note: A number of Crescent Heights-managed properties, including the four mentioned in this post, are YoChicago advertisers.
