1225 Old Town, a newly-opened apartment tower at 1225 N Wells St, has an extensive amenities package. It’s stylish, functional, social — and unusual in scale for a building that hosts only 250 apartments. The amenities package is one of the reasons that the building is 80% leased despite having only opened several months ago.
The rooftop pool deck offers sweeping views, a hot tub, several seating areas, and an ample selection of large, stainless steel grills. Adjacent to the pool is a party room, a catering / demonstration kitchen, and a casual lounge with sweeping views. There’s a 12-seat theater room with plush seating, a large screen and a high-def projector. A fitness room with state-of-the-art, Internet-connected equipment completes the amenities level.
A green roof overlooking Wells Street has a spacious dog run and will have walking paths with benches.
Perhaps 1225 Old Town’s best amenity, apart from the prime location, is a high-end grocer, a 28,000 square foot Plum Market that’s scheduled to open next spring.
