Attentive readers may remember a post from last July regarding The Macon Group’s conversion of adjoining buildings near the intersection of Belmont and Lakewood avenues in Lake View. Denise Wilbur of Sudler Sotheby’s International Realty called the old warehouse at 3133 N Lakewood Ave “one of the last vintage buildings in the Lake View area;” “Ratty would be a better word,” suggested Yo regular irishpirate.
A check on the development’s status reveals that four of its 25 condos (including two new-construction penthouses) have sold. Last year we reported that five condos had sold, so someone fell off during the fall or winter months.
The one- to four-bedroom homes are priced from the $280s to the $680s; heated indoor parking spaces are $25,000 apiece. Six homes on the building’s east side are available for tour by appointment; two two-bedrooms are open every Sunday from noon to 4 p.m.
Sheila Burt shot a video of new construction projects along Belmont last summer. There are several developments along the corridor that deserve an update, so expect more from this area in the near future.
