We sparked one hell of a brawl about the merits or otherwise of urban consolidation a couple of weeks back, when we showed you the Lonely Victorian about to be squeezed by two mid-rises on Sheffield Avenue. This is the view of Sheffield from Belmont Avenue and the street is going to have a very different feel when construction is completed on The Residences at The Vic (the development on the right is another Joseph Freed Homes project, The Lofts at the Vic). Here’s hoping for some interesting ground-floor retail to provide some relief from that wall.
