$400,000 price reduction at 2225 West Race

The nine-unit building at 1919 W Crystal St isn’t the only new-construction development designed by Studio Dwell Architects with price reductions. This morning I noticed a Craigslist ad posted by Rubloff agent Mario Greco advertising a “NEW PRICE!” for the 4,000 square-foot single-family home at 2225 W Race St in the Ukrainian Village.

I’m not sure what the previous price was, but the most recent Yo post on this pair of Studio Dwell-designed single families was from October 2007, when they were both priced at $1.1 million. Now, Greco’s ad says the home is priced in the $690s, which would be – if previous Yo reports were accurate – a price reduction of about $400,000.

According to the ad, the home comes with an oversized two-car garage, several outdoor decks, audio and video pre-wiring, and Sub-Zero and Miele appliances. Despite all of those features, the ad says that the home will be sold “as is.”
