45-story, 264-unit high-rise proposed for Clark and North

From a Chicago Tribune report:

Plans are underway by the Burnham Development Co. for the construction of an apartment complex at Clark Street and North Avenue that will use parts of the existing old Germania Club Building, integrating it into the entrance lobby of the new complex.

The club itself will be restored, inside and out, to look like it originally did.

The new, 45-story building will add 264 rental apartments to the neighborhood, which already has the nine-building Sandburg Village complex, and add 168 parking spaces.

There’s been a more recent proposal for the corner of Clark and North.
