This is 156 West Superior, a new-construction project by Ranquist Development in River North.
It’s apparently creating a buzz among architecture and design buffs. We can see why.
The building, designed by the Miller/Hull Partnership, was inspired by a similar loft-style development in Seattle. The steel-framed design of 156 West Superior, with its expansive sheets of glass, should make for some wonderfully airy living spaces.
Some of the kitchens come with two islands and we hear that the bathrooms are also beautifully designed.
Construction is almost complete on the seven-story building, but we hear there is a handful of units still for sale. One-bedrooms are priced from the $300s, while full-floor residences are priced at more than $1 million.
An open house of sorts is planned for the near future. We hope to bring you some photos of the real thing soon.
