Wait, they can’t, because the 757 Orleans @ Chicago sales office isn’t open on Wednesdays. You tease, banners, you tease! The very few condos listed at 757 Orleans, the 198-unit tower at 757 N Orleans St in River North, don’t reveal much either — they either haven’t changed price at all since going on the market, haven’t gone down since the turn of the new year, or in one case actually went up in recent months.
The Tribune’s Cook County database has records for 63 sales at 757 Orleans dating back to November 2008, at prices from the $190s to $750s. The median sale in the building was an 1,181 square-foot one-bedroom / 1.5-bath that closed for $405,000 in December ’08.


I would think the Condo Board would not allow signs to be hung from the balconies. I know I got threatened with a fine for hanging a Chicago Bears flag.

The developer typically retains signage rights until the last unit is sold.
When are they going to release new sales prices? I’m assuming they are going to have to make their prices similar to those of the Silver Tower which is right down the street. Joe, do you recommend one building over the other because I have both buildings under consideration as I plan my purchase?

Too personal a choice, Mike, and I don’t know either building well enough to make that kind of a recommendation. Not that I’d make a recommendtion even if I did.
I’m not a real estate expert, but I looked at both too. I went with ST in late Nov. I have an 07 unit, got a good price,and financing packgage Love it.
