YoChicago takes its journal writers out for a beer

It ain’t easy building Chicagoland’s top Web site for housing and neighborhoods. How are we doing it? Well, frankly, we’re shunting an awful lot of the work onto the shoulders of people like you (yes, you), interesting, energetic types who know a lot more than we do, especially when it comes to their neighborhoods and suburbs. Last night, YoChicago gave a big “thank you” to all the people helping to making our journals such a success by writing about their neighborhoods or areas of expertise and interest.

We gathered at Lake View’s Duke of Perth, where good beer and an assortment of fried foods were had by all. Irving Park’s Erica “son of a” Gunderson was honored as our first “non-employee of the month.” She received a six-pack of Old Style and a gift certificate to Leona’s for her courageous efforts. If you want to get in on the action, sign up to write about your neighborhood or suburb or field of expertise at Yo. We won’t pay you, but the beer’s on us.
