In Chicago, views don't come cheap

Highrise condos are getting more expensive and the downtown condos with the best views now come with a hefty price tag, we hear.

If you want to be able to wake up in the morning to a view of Grant Park, for instance, expect to pay as much as $600-per-square-foot.

If, however, you are prepared to settle for a view of another building, or the trash cans in the back alley, you can find a new home for about $300-per-square-foot.

Aaah market forces. And here I was thinking highrises were democratic because they offerd many people access to amazing views of the city.
