The newest building on the former site of the sprawling Cabrini-Green housing project is now ready for occupancy.
The 7-story 544 Oak at Parkside of Old Town has an on-site fitness center and laundry room and is handicapped-accessible. Based on the ground-level view, above, a number of units will have great skyline views.
Cable-ready one- and two-bedrooms are air-conditioned and include dishwashers, hardwood and vinyl flooring, balconies or terraces and window coverings.
The building has a mix of market-rate and income-restricted units. Market-rate one bedrooms are $975 to $1,025 per month, and two-bedrooms are $1,200 to $1,275. Income-restricted unit rents range from $675 to $1,020. The maximum income for eligibility varies with the number of occupants: $31,440 for a single person; $35,440 for two people; and $40,440 for three.
Parking is available for $100 a month.
