Construction checkup: C/A 23

Snow aside, the work site at 23 N Aberdeen St in the West Loop doesn’t look much different than it did during my first Joewalk back in February. There are some fresh tread tracks, a few new stacks of building materials, and a prominently placed port-a-potty, however, all of which suggest that work is moving along on The Brixton Group‘s C/A 23.

Developer Geoff Ruttenberg says construction on the development’s first phase of 24 condos will be finished this fall. Eleven of those units are still available from the $660s to $1.6 million. Plans also call for a second round of 24 units, although there’s no word at the moment as to when that phase will begin.

The FitzGerald Associates Architects-designed homes (seen below) will have 1,900 to 4,000 square feet, two to four bedrooms, and ceiling heights of 11 to 18 feet.

Stay tuned for Mark’s “sequel” to my West Loop video, complete with updated footage of C/A 23, Pure, Mod and other new homes under construction.
