A year ago today I spent nearly two hours in a chartered helicopter, with the doors off, circling downtown Chicago and snapping photos. I was accompanied by Mike Scotty, our parent company‘s CEO, and Michael Kardas, a professional photographer we’ve worked with for more than 25 years.
We collectively shot nearly 2,000 photos and you can see 100s of them online in this Flickr album, which includes photos from a previous aerial tour.
Helicopters typically have no airspace restrictions in Chicago – unless the President is in town or there’s a sports event underway. Given the sensitivity of the date and our plans to fly directly above the Chicago River, our pilot checked in with government authorities before takeoff.
YoChicago consistently brings you more original photos and video of Chicago homes and apartments, by far, than any other site. If you want to see the faces that make things happen in Chicago real estate, and the spaces and places they help create, you’ll need to check in at YoChicago.
