A closer look at 1838 West Division

Rendering of 1838 West Division, a new nine-unit condo building in Wicker Park, Chicago

Last month, I reported that construction was underway on a new-construction condo building in the 1800-block of West Division Street in Wicker Park. At that point, I hadn’t managed to reach either the developer or the sales team, so I could only report what I had seen at the construction site and what I found on the Web. This week, I got in touch with Sophie Kos from Prime Properties Realty, who sent along a full-size rendering and some more details on the project.

Contrary to what I had written before, the address for the development is 1838 W Division St – not 1846 W Division St. According to Kos, the building is being developed by ICON Developers, and it will have nine two-bedroom / two-bath condos.

Prices for the two-bedroom / two-bath condos start in the $390s and top out in the $790s. While I don’t have any info on the square footage for any of these homes, I do know that 1,750 square-foot homes sold in the $790s just one block to the west, at Ranquist Development‘s 1711 West Division.

1838 West Division is scheduled to be completed by the spring of 2010.
