Realtors sometimes tout a stretch of Lincoln Street in Evanston as the setting for Home Alone. The actual venue was Lincoln Avenue in Winnetka.
The 2600 block of Lincoln, which we pass in the video, was the setting for Uncle Buck. A horror movie seems oddly appropriate for the current state of the real estate market.
The main attractions for this area, in addition to the beautiful homes, include Lincolnwood Elementary School, Perkins Woods, and the Central Street commercial strip several blocks north. Homes here typically sell for $1.1 to $1.5M, although they also range well below that as you progress further east.
