Koenig & Strey’s Mike Stern was updating me on the Evanston real estate market earlier today. He mentioned that the $900K and up market had begun to see some action. When I asked for specifics one of the homes Mike mentioned as 2322 Ewing, which had been listed for $1,150K.
When I checked out the listing info on that home I learned that a) it had been designed by Robert Seyfarth, a prominent North Shore architect, and b) it was directly across the street from a small forest preserve.
A forest preserve in Evanston? Who knew? Not me. I called the listing agent, Susan Tash, who agreed to meet me for a brief look at the home and its surroundings.
