A few of the places where Yo’s been recently

Our days take us to many places around Chicagoland to view beautiful places and to meet with the people who design, build, decorate, appraise, finance, buy, sell and rent them. You’ll see many of those places and people at YoChicago, at our our YouTube channel and in our Flickr photo stream.

We have more than 300,000 photos on our networked drives and can’t possibly publish all of them. Here are a few of the scenes we’ve recently seen, starting with the above view of Lake Point Tower from the Chicago Yacht Cub.

Chicago’s grandest courtyard building, and probably its best known, is The Pattington. Check back in a few days for a video tour of Unit F7 at 674 W Irving Park Rd with Robert John Anderson. The home is open this Sunday, November 3, from 1 to 3.

Wednesday evening Adam Strickland, a sous chef at Nordstrom’s Ruscello restaurant in Oak Brook, showed a group of residents at the new K2 apartments how to prepare some tasty salads and dressings. The residents punctuated the demo with a flurry of tips on local restaurants and grocery stores.

Yesterday morning I ventured out in a light rain on the roof deck at 2650 N Lakeview with Jeff Herbert from Lincoln Park Condos. Not a bad view for a rainy day!

I looked across Revere Park at the site where Noah Properties is proposing to build 30 new condos.

Residents at K2 apartments costumed their pets for a pooch parade last Saturday.
