A first look inside the Fulton River District’s new Kenect apartments

The 14-story portion of the new Kenect apartment community welcomed its first residents last month.

At the time of our visit, workers were putting the finishing touches on some of the common areas of the tower, and construction was still underway on an adjacent 4-story building with ground-floor retail as well as apartments.

Kenect’s resident lounge / party room is a spacious area with dramatic, soaring ceilings and window walls. It has multiple seating areas and a billiards table. There’s an east-facing balcony on the east side of the lounge and an outdoor terrace on the west side.

The lounge includes a party room and a floating stair to a co-working space.

A fourth-floor sundeck features a pool, outdoor kitchens, firepits, and a private dog run.

Kenect’s fitness center is adjacent to the pool deck. It has a variety of cardio and strength-training equipment and a separate yoga space.

Kenect offers a mix of studio to 3-bedroom apartments. Studios start at $1,745, 1-bedrooms at $2,145 and 2-bedroom, 2-baths at $3,470. Three-bedrooms aren’t currently available for occupancy. Join us in the video for a walk through a 1-bedroom furnished model.

The Grand Ave Blue Line station and CTA bus routes along Halsted, Grand and Milwaukee are just outside the building. Access to I-90/94 is nearby.

Bike lanes along Halsted, Milwaukee and Grand provide quick access to River North, the Loop, Wicker Park, Bucktown and Lincoln Park.
