A home “like no other” under contract on Ashland

Redfin’s email recently surfaced a “new listing” for one of the Ashland Urban condos at 2607 N Ashland Ave whose pretensions we noted last October.

The 3-bedroom, 4-bath, 2,800 square foot tri-level “penthouse” unit was listed at $890,000 on May 8, and shown as being under contract shortly after that date. The home faced tough competition from the nearby and now sold out Montana Row (pdf), 14 new fee simple 3,200 square foot rowhomes whose prices began at just under $1M. The Montana Row homes were on a quiet one-way street and offered 2-car garages and private yards.
