Chicago Bulls Hall of Famer Scottie Pippen sold the 13,000 square foot home at 2320 Shady Lane in Highland Park in 1996, along with a great deal of his original furniture and artwork.
The home has been resold and is closing shortly.
This weekend, March 19 & 20, from 9 to 5, Sheryl Rue-Borden of SOS Estate Sales, is hosting an estate sale of for the 1,000s of items that remain in the home. Furniture, artwork, rugs and Bulls memorabilia signed by Scottie Pippen are included in the estate sale.
Sheryl toured me through the home, sketching some of what was for sale. I was, to put it mildly, complete overwhelmed by the number and variety of items up for sale. This estate sale has the potential to put a serious dent in sales at Target and Bed, Bath & Beyond this weekend.
Numbered tickets will be given out each day at 8 am, and only 25 people at a time will be allowed in the home at one time. Be prepared to wait your turn, and enjoy the time spent chatting with some of Scottie Pippen’s legions of Chicago-area fans.
NOTE: Sheryl Rue-Borden is also a real estate agent with Prudential Rubloff, a client of our firm.
Update: Highland Park Patch toured the home and posted an audio slide show.
