A light-filled architectural showplace in DePaul

The exteriors of many homes in the historic DePaul / Sheffield neighborhood of Chicago give few clues as to what lies within. In October, Joe Zekas joined Prudential Rubloff‘s Joanne Nemerovski for a tour of one such example: the home at 2049 N Kenmore Ave, which was listed for sale at just under $2 million.

The home was designed by architect Marcel Freides, who was responsible for many creative adaptations of 19th-century Chicago homes in Lincoln Park and the Gold Coast.
