A mystery room in Chicago’s Wrigley Mansion

This brief clip was inadvertently left out of my longer video tour of Chicago’s landmark Wrigley Mansion, one of the great homes in the city.

One room in the home was, for a while, a bit of a mystery to the current owners. They used it as a family breakfast room, and discovered that it was originally a smoking room.

The Theurer-Wrigley Mansion, 2466 N Lakeview in Lincoln Park, has been on the market for several months, and was listed for sale in the MLS about a week ago for $9,500,000. Koenig & Strey’s Mary Bennett has the listing.
