A new look for Lincoln Park Hospital

Lincoln Park Hospital redevelopment, Chicago

It’s been almost a year since Michael Supera and Richard Zisook announced their plans to convert and expand the old Lincoln Park Hospital into a mix of residences and retail space. Thanks to SkyscraperCity member spyguy, we now have three renderings of the development, as well as a name: Webster Square.

According to Webster Square‘s website, Sandz Development will convert the 12-story hospital at 550 W Webster Ave into 120 one- to three-bedroom homes priced from $475,000. (The modified hospital is shown at right in the above image.) The building will feature a fitness center, community and meeting rooms, a 24-hour door staff, on-site security, and below-grade parking.

A brand new building (shown in the first image below) will replace several existing structures on Grant Place, and will feature two- to four-bedrooms priced from $650,000, and below-grade parking.

An existing mid-rise (above, at left) will be converted into “energy efficient office space,” with “six floors of medical and professional office space designed for health and wellness businesses.” Sandz will adapt an existing garage across the street from the hospital into a 12,000 square-foot Fresh Market boutique grocery store (shown in the second image below).

The developers plan to pursue LEED certification for the buildings and will expand on-site green space from 4,800 square feet to over 50,000 square feet.
